A comutação dos contatos mecânicos internos da chave acontece com o a abertura ou fechamento do acesso e consequentemente encaixe ou desencaixe do atuador na chave, assim o sinal dos contatos é monitorados por dispositivos de segurança como relés ou clps de segurança. Trabalhando em conjunto com seu respectivo atuador realiza o monitoramento seguro de acessos em áreas com risco.
